Would you rather have to cartwheel every time you exited a room or announce yourself every time you entered a room.

If I had to choose I would rather announce myself. As long as I’m not a spy, I won’t need to hide that I’m entering a room. Cartwheels seem more like more of a hassle. What if I have stuff in my hands, then I have to put it down. Or if I have a backpack it be harder to do the cartwheel.
