Leader of a Dystopian Society or regular person in a utopian society

I would much rather have society as a whole be happy than just myself. It’d be horrible to be the leader of a country suffering in debt and poverty. If I were the leader of a dystopian society, I would feel happy with the power I have because the people I’m in charge of would all be suffering.
