The most challenging aspect I’ve come across with this assignment was working with the required word count. When it comes to writing, I usually just organize my thoughts into an outline and immediately start writing everything that comes to mind. I then work with all that I have on my paper and usually end up making it more cohesive and concise. If I don’t happen to meet the limit after I do this, I sometimes have a hard time trying to add content because I don’t want it to just act as “filler”. One of the easier aspects of this assignment has been writing it. It wasn’t difficult to come up this an idea for my essay and the writing process went surprisingly well. I found that I never really had a “staring at the wall” moment and I could just write with a smooth flow of words and sentences.

I would rather be able to snap my fingers and magically gain $10 than receive $1 million straight up. The money I receive from when I snap my fingers is greater than $1 million in the long run. Plus, being able to summon varying quantities of $10 whenever I want is convenient.

To be honest, I chose to take CNF because I needed another English class in order to graduate. I expect the same for this class as I would any other English class. I hope to improve further on my writing and focus on the details. Grammar is annoying, but I definitely need to keep it in check.

I chose to read “Shoe Box” by Phil Knight because I am interested in learning about what the creator of Nike did to become so successful. I think it’d be helpful to learn about his approach to the business world and how he thinks things through. Learning and reading about this type of business stuff interests me more than reading about tragic events and such. Arguably, reading about business might prove more beneficial as well. Although I will admit that it’s important to read about the bad things in life so you know what to avoid.
