I thought my book talk went pretty well today. I felt strongly about my hook/introduction and despite presenting on zoom, I felt comfortable presenting. One thing I was a little nervous about was the passage I chose. I was worried that people wouldn’t find the passage as interesting as I did. Nevertheless I used it anyways because I thought the book talk couldn’t be finished without it.

I really enjoyed your take on Shoe Dog and how you explained how the book is such a multifaceted story with both personal, business, and sports related issues. Your review was the kind of “nail in the coffin” for me and now I’m almost certainly set on reading that for this quarter
